John Lwanda, born 1949, is a medical doctor, writer, poet, publisher and producer.
He has led a varied life, including: Working as a Census Enumerator (Mbaluku Village and Namwera border areas, Malawi National Census 1966); Clerk, Ministry of Education, Malawi, 1967 – 68; Senior Laboratory Assistant, Department of Biology, University of Malawi (1969 – 1970); Nursing Auxiliary; Factory Hand; Theatre Porter; Extern (USA); Career; human rights and political activist; Friend of St Martin's Hospital and School, 1979 to the present; Freelance writer and journalist (1981 to the present); teacher; board member; undertaken consultancies; Music and Book Researcher and Publisher (1988 to the present) and as a medical doctor.
